Childhood Description

We are Syed family from the Indian State of Bihar living in Bihar Shareef, Patna, Bara Gawan, and many villages. My relatives own many villages in Bihar as we family is well established, respected and were feudal lords.

After partition my parents' family migrated from Bihar to Karachi, Pakistan. I was born in Karachi, however at a younger age sent to an English boarding school, Sadiq Public School in Bahawalpur, Pubjab in Pakistan.

My father got a job in Tripoli, Libya as a bank officer hence my family moved there. My mother start working as school teacher in the Pakistani Embassy School. After 2 years I moved along with my younger brother to Tripoli, Libya.

At a younger age I was blessed not only to meet people from so many African countries and cultures, my family travelled to many countries for visits and I got to learn and appreciate quality and goodness of people across many cultures in Africa, Europe, Middle East and South Asia.

This helps me to connect with people from different culture, languages and appreciate the larger human village that we all are.

Life is about having fun and mostly comical in my experience. I had zero interest, ability or understanding of any education specially mathematics. I excelled in having the lowest possible scores in the class every time barely able to move to next grade.

And only area of my life I loved and enjoyed is non stop playing games, sports, physical activities all day till late night.

One quality is that I love to read stories. All children stories and specially deeply absorbed the life of our Prophet MohammadSahaba, Islamic manners of care, kindness and strength to establish justice and dignity.

For years I absorbed the history of Islam, Muslims, scholars, travelers, traders, leaders, generals, policy & governance and yes cultures in Muslim countries. I specially loved the wisdom of Rumi, Ibn Batoota, Ibn Khaldoon, Ilama Iqbal, Sahi Bukhari, Sahi Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Jami` al-Tirmidhi, Dāstān-e amīr H.amzah, Al Ghazali, and Saadi Shirazi to name a few.
